Coda (Goodbyes taste like 85% cocoa chocolate)

It's been almost a year since I started blogging about food and perhaps to a lesser extent, my travels as well, which pretty much focused on food anyway. It's quite a pleasant revelation, really, that I've surprised even myself with staying on this blogging thing for that long.

It's almost funny how this blog was started in Australia, based pretty much in Singapore but will not get to celebrate her first year's anniversary there. Well, Singapore did share her 100th post milestone, which till today is one of my favorite posts.

A new place beckons, with a totally new environment, people and of course foods to check out. I do not think that the question of whether I'll continue blogging or not needs to be asked.

I'm in this one for the long-run. Heck, I've known relationships to last even shorter than my blog haha!

I guess you can take the guy out of the blog but you can't take the blog out of the guy. Wait a minute, that sentence didn't really make much sense haha. Oh well, I'm rambling on again, but I was never one for waxing lyrical, rather preferring to write in prose; I write like how I'll speak.

I'm actually typing this rather belatedly for I've actually already left Singapore quite some time ago but I felt I needed to post the "Farewell" ones first for completeness' sake.

Anyway, here's the giveaway to where I'm based in now.

Stay tuned for more.

=)

Hey dude,

I think we embarked upon the food blogger's path about the same time, so that makes our respective blogs about the same age. Truly, time flies and it's been almost a year.

I think my intentions when I began, was quite different from how things are moving now and funny thing is, I didn't start this out of my own accord. But I keep it going to honor a memory that started it and despite the fact that I wonder very often why I do keep it going, question it's purpose, I do keep it going. It is actually both a very difficult thing, yet somehow compelling one as well that my site continues to survive. It's become more than just a food diary now that with time, I recognize that there are so many people that read it and come back.

Your blog is one of those that I drop by on a rather regular basis. After being in this for almost a year, we've never met, never ate out once together and I don't even know your real name. And we've been visiting each other in our sites.

If you ever do come back for vacations/break/visits, do drop me a message. Any private forms of contacts you do not wish to disclose will be safe since nothing is published without my approval.

And the very best of well wishes from me in your endeavours.

Dude! Wow man.. good on ya.. so seriously, what do you do for a crust? what industry - if you don't want to be specific. Just being k-poh that's all and a tat envious of all your travels.

So in a way, it's a tat anti-climatic as I log on to your blog religiously (every Sunday..Ha!!Ha!!) to reminisce the Singaporean food...and now.. no more... NY food??!?! Besides the pizza opp Empire State Building (good!), I can't really get too excited about the food there compared to good ole S'porean hawker stuff!

Good luck man!!
