Contrary to what some people might think, quite a few states in China don't really eat rice as a carbohydrate staple. Shanghai, like some of these states, tends to consume alot of wheat in the form of noodles or bread. Anyway, this was a random bowl of piping hot noodles in soup from a little side store. This bowl sure hit the right spot for breakfast, the noodles being done perfectly al dente and especially with that piece of fatty pork.
